Facebook Shoes / Home Cinema Server / Avent Calendar

I found these concept trainers the other night and instantly wanted a pair. I prefer the Facebook shoes over the Twitter pair, but there's a problem. Their only conceptual... they don't exist... yet.

I however plan to have a go at making them myself, in the laziest, easiest possible way. All I need is a pair of blue Adidas Superstars, a Facebook stencil and some white spray paint or fabric paint. They wouldn't be amazing, but it could be a cool project, and it was certainly make a unique pair of trainers.

I have a lot of DVDs. Last time I counted I had 750, and its probable up to around 800 now. The problem is I don't watch them. Because I have so many, they wont fit in my room and I've had to take over another room in the house. As a result I rarely even look at them, and never get the urge to just stick one in. All it use to take was a glance at my shelf and I would suddenly get hankering to watch a couple of episodes of Thundercats. Or, perhaps I would amaze myself with the wonderful special effects on King Kong (the original 1933 film... it truly looks outstanding when you consider the age). However they are now destined to just collect dust in the spare room, only occasionally catching a glance from myself when I pop in to grab one that I'm lending to someone else.

To combat this, I wish to turn my computer into a media hub. By ripping all of my DVDs to my PC (which is already connected to my TV) I would be able to flick through them all and even negate the asinine trailers and copyright videos going right to the film/TV show. Problem is with 750+ DVDs to rip it'd be weeks before I finished this, and chances are I'd get bored and give up half way. Maybe I'll follow the Tested advice and create a home server to store them on. It wont stop them from gathering dust but at least they'll have one last use before being confined to their shelves.

Last off, look at this amazing advent calendar that my lovely girlfriend made for me.
Its the first of December tomorrow and I can't wait to crack open the first box. I haven't a clue what's in them. It could be empty for all I care, the mere feat of creating a calendar it pretty amazing. Thank you Vix xx
